Quinonez reaches milestone

Jockey Luis Quinonez recorded victory number 3,000 Thursday evening at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, TX.  The win came in the seventh race when he blasted the  field by 8 3/4 lengths with Hit It Hard.  “It is a lot of wins,” Quinonez said of the milestone. “I’ve been blessed to win that many.”

Opening weekend at Lone Star draws over 50,000 fans

With over 50,000 fans in attendance over the opening weekend at Lone Star Park, the Texas racetrack experienced a 16% gain in attendance and a 10% increase in on-track handle over the previous year. The crowd was the sixth largest in Lone Star history since the track opened in 1997.
