Mandatory Jackpot Pick 5 Payout at Laurel on Sunday

Laurel Park’s final day of racing will feature a mandatory payout of its $102,749.90 Jackpot Pick 5 carryover. No one picked five winners Saturday. Four of five returned $270.52. Sunday’s Jackpot Pick 5 sequence will include a maiden special weight, an optional claimer and three claiming races. First race post Sunday is 12:30 p.m.

Laurel, Pimlico owners to submit plan for 77 dates

The partnership that runs the Maryland racetracks, Pimilico and Laurel, will submit a plan later this month for 77 racing dates through May, 2011. In November, the Maryland Racing Commission rejected the partnership’s proposal of 47 racing dates for the first five months of the year.
