Preakness television ratings decline

The television ratings for Saturdays Preakness 137 broadcast were down 7 percent from last year’s event. In 2011, the race pulled in 8.8 million viewers. In 2012, the number was down to 8.1 million. The rating was down to 5.2/13 compared to 5.6/13 in 2011.
