After watching Maggi Moss' 3-year-old No Parole dominate another field of Louisiana-breds on Saturday night at Delta Downs, trainer Tom Amoss has been convinced to try the colt in a Kentucky Derby points race.
“I think we have to try one of the Triple Crown preps,” Amoss said on the simulcast feed from Delta. “He earned it tonight.”
The son of Violence won the Louisiana Premier Night Prince Stakes by 6 1/2 lengths under jockey James Graham, making him undefeated through three starts by a combined margin of 34 lengths. It was No Parole's first start around two turns, and he completed the mile distance in 1:39.93. A $75,000 yearling purchase at the Keeneland September sale, No Parole has already earned $114,600.
Amoss has not yet indicated a specific prep for the colt to target.
