The overnight television numbers for NBC Sports' telecast of the Kentucky Derby show a 7.4 rating and a 17 share. The rating is a 7% decline from 2010 numbers, which were the highest in the last 20 years.
The rating represents the percentage of all households with TV sets tuned into Derby coverage. The share represents the percentage of households with TVs in use that were tuned in. Final numbers will come out Tuesday.
