As Justify made his triumphant return to his Santa Anita base on Sunday, fans were already wondering when they might see the Triple Crown winner back in the races. Trainer Bob Baffert told drf.com that while no plans have been set in stone, either the July 29 Haskell at Monmouth or the Aug. 25 Travers at Saratoga could be next on the 3-year-old son of Scat Daddy's agenda.
“In a couple of weeks, we'll breeze him back, and we'll have an idea,” Baffert said. “We'll sit down and figure it out. We'll let the horse tell us.”
Meanwhile, Justify is scheduled for a celebratory appearance this Saturday at his home base of Santa Anita Park.
