Michael Lund Petersen's name is probably unfamiliar to many that follow horse racing. After all, the native of Denmark has only been involved in the sport for a few years.
However, his name, or at least his company, is probably much more familiar to anyone that has purchased an engagement ring or almost any type of jewelry in the past 20 years. Petersen is the co-founder of Pandora Jewelry, which has developed into the largest jewelry company in the world.
Petersen also owns Kentucky Derby hopeful Mor Spirit, winner of the G1 Los Alamitos Futurity and G2 Robert B. Lewis Stakes. In a recent interview with Jonathan Lintner of the Louisville Courier-Journal, Petersen talks about owning a Kentucky Derby contender, and what it feels like being a “rookie horseman”.
