Albaugh Family Stables' talented 2-year-old colt Dennis' Moment has been taking it easy in Kentucky since he stumbled badly at the start of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. According to drf.com, the son of Tiznow is preparing to ship south to Gulfstream Park later this week to start training for his sophomore campaign.
“Everything is good with him, we just wanted to let him have a little break,” trainer Dale Romans told drf.com. “That was the plan all along.”
The goal for Dennis' Moment is to be ready to start in the G2 Fountain of Youth on Feb. 29, then the G1 Florida Derby. A winner of two of his four starts, including a romp in the G3 Iroquois Stakes, Dennis' Moment was highly-touted ahead of the Breeders' Cup but could manage no better than eighth after his stumble.
