Keeneland's Woodford Stakes, which was taken off the turf and run on the main track Oct. 3, has been reinstated as a Grade 3 race by the American Graded Stakes Committee.
The Blood-Horse reports that it is the policy of the American Graded Stakes Committee to automatically downgrade a race that is scheduled for the turf, but has to be moved to the main track due to weather or track conditions. The committee then reviews the running of the race, and then may reinstate it to its original grade.
Amelia's Wild Ride, a 4-year-old colt by D'Wildcat, won the race by 2 1/2 lengths.
