Kentucky Oaks winner Untapable continues to train well for her next start in the G1 Mother Goose Stakes, breezing five furlongs in 1:01.20 early Monday morning at Churchill Downs.

Trainer Steve Asmussen told the Daily Racing Form that while a decision on who will ride the filly in the June 28 Mother Goose has yet to be made, Untapable would most likely stay at Churchill to train for the race, rather than putting in her final work at Belmont Park.

“She's in a really good place and I'm hesitant to change anything up,” Asmussen told the DRF.

Regarding a jockey assignment, Asmussen said that “more than a dozen” jockey agents had contacted him. After some discussion, Asmussen named Hall of Famer John Velazquez to ride in the Mother Goose.

Rosie Napravnik, the regular rider of Untapable, has been sidelined four to six weeks with a mildly separated shoulder suffered in a training accident on Sunday.
