Dual Grade 1-winner Untapable has returned to Saratoga and settled back into her stall in trainer Steve Asmussen's barn after finishing unplaced in Sunday's G1 William Hill Haskell Invitational.
According to a report in the Daily Racing Form, the talented daughter of Tapit will likely make her next start in the $1 million, G1 Cotillion at Parx Racing Sept. 20. The 1 1/16-mile contest was won by another Asmussen trainee, My Miss Aurelia, in 2012.
According to the DRF, Untapable came out of the Haskell tired, but none the worse for wear.
“It wasn't meant to be yesterday,” Asmussen said on Monday morning. “She was six or seven back after a sixteenth of a mile, trying to get a little position on a very speed-favoring racetrack.”
