The work was originally scheduled for Monday morning at the Spa, but trainer Todd Pletcher called an audible in response to a rain forecast, working Uncle Mo Sunday morning in company with Turbo Compressor instead. With John Velazquez up, Uncle Mo was timed in a bullet 1:00.34, according to Dave Litfin of Daily Racing Form. Pletcher is prepping Uncle Mo for a possible comeback start in the King's Bishop Stakes.
“It's part of the deal,” said Pletcher. “You try to keep an eye on those things…you know, sometimes when you are on a tight schedule, you have no choice. When you have to go, you have to go.”
