Multiple Grade 1 winner Turbulent Descent worked six furlongs in 1:12.20 at Santa Anita Saturday morning in preparation for the $300,000 La Brea Stakes on Dec. 31, reports the Daily Racing Form.
Turbulent Descent finished fifth in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint on Nov. 4 after being bumped at the start and racing four wide. However, trainer Mike Puype is confident she will redeem herself in the La Brea.
“The trip was murderous in the Breeders' Cup,” Puype said. “She'll have good conditions here. She's the fastest 3-year-old filly out here.”
