Sarah Sis will race next in the G1 Ballerina

According to trainer Ingrid Mason, locally based multiple graded stakes-winning sophomore filly Sarah Sis will be pointed to the Grade I $500,000 Test Stakes at Saratoga on Aug. 8. The daughter of Sharp Humor has won her last two – both stakes at Prairie Meadows, including the Grade III $200,000 Iowa Oaks – after an eased trip in the Grade I $1,000,000 Kentucky Oaks.

“I really think seven furlongs might be her best distance,” Mason said. “She's doing really well right now and I think she is fast enough to run with those fillies. She can go forward or sit back and I think she's still getting better.”

In seven starts, the Joe Ragsdale-owned charge has finished in the exacta in five, while earning $306,400. Her two runner-up finishes were both in stakes, including a photo-finish decision behind Eclipse Champion juvenile filly of 2014, Take Charge Brandi in the $100,000 Martha Washington Stakes in January at Oaklawn Park.
