Talented sprinter Reneesgotzip, winner of the G2 Santa Ynez and G3 Rancho Bernardo, has been retired from racing, according to an article in the Daily Racing Form.
The 5-year-old daughter of City Zip won eight of 16 lifetime starts, and earned $869,860. In addition to the Santa Ynez and Rancho Bernardo, Reneesgotzip finished second in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks, Las Virgenes, and La Brea in 2012, and was second and third in the Grade 1 BC Turf Sprint in 2013 and 2012, respectively. She most recently finished ninth in the 2014 edition of the race.
Reneesgotzip is owned by the Lanni Family Trust, and was trained by Peter Miller.
