Winter Weather: Advisories Force Racing Cancellations in Mid-Atlantic, Midwest

Due to expected inclement weather, live racing at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and Parx Racing have been cancelled for Saturday, Dec. 14.

Both Pennsylvania race tracks are under a Winter Weather Advisory from Saturday morning into early Sunday due to snow and ice expected in the area.

At this time, Parx Racing is still scheduled to race on Sunday, Dec. 15 and live racing will resume at Penn National on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races also announced the cancellation of its Saturday-night live racing card. The Charles Town, W. Va., facility is under the same advisory due to the impending winter weather. The track will remain open for simulcasting and is slated to resume live racing on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Beulah Park outside of Columbus, Ohio, cancelled its live racing program for Saturday due to anticipated snowfall. Racing at Beulah is scheduled to resume Monday, Dec. 16.
