Royal Delta's connections confirmed on Friday that she will make her next start in a defense of her Grade 2 Fleur de Lis Handicap title on June 15 at Churchill Downs. Last year, she took the same route to the race—from an off-the-board finish in the Dubai World Cup to the 1 1/8-mile contest for older fillies and mares—and won the Fleur de Lis by eight lengths.

“Her last work was very, very good and she's ready to start back here,” said Fabricio Buffolo, bloodstock manager for Besilu Stables. In that work, Royal Delta went five furlongs in a bullet :59.01 at Belmont Park.

According to a report by The Blood-Horse, Royal Delta will likely face On Fire Baby and Grade 3 winner Wine Princess.
