Dubai World Cup runner-up Red Cadeaux will meet Group 1 winners from Dubai, Australia, Europe, and South East Asia in Sunday's Group 1 Singapore Airlines International Cup. The Ed Dunlop trainee will be looking to improve his earnings to more than £4 million, or $6 million.
The start will be the 7-year-old's first on the grass in a “fiercely competitive” field, but Dunlop is hopeful it will be a good experience, and plans to bring him back to Newmarket for a Royal Ascot campaign afterwards.
“It's been a long old trip,” said Dunlop to the Racing Post. “but he seems to be in very good form, the draw is okay and the boys are happy with him.”
Red Cadeaux has been jet-setting the last several months, which included trips to Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong.
Red Cadeaux will face Dubai World Cup also-ran Hunter's Light, Citibank Hong Kong Gold Cup winner Military Attack, and Deutches Derby winner Pastorius.
