Caixa Eletronica posts his 23rd career victory in the Duck Dance Stakes

When Caixa Eletronica held off the late charge of Praetereo to win the $100,000 Duck Dance Stakes by a half-length at Belmont Park Oct. 6, it marked the 23rd career victory for the durable 8-year-old horse.

Caixa Eletronica is now 23 for 68 lifetime, and has career earnings of $1,848,505.

Todd Pletcher trains Caixa Eletronica for owner Mike Repole. After the race, Pletcher told the Daily Racing Form, “He keeps amazing us you know. Twenty-three times in the winner's circle.”

“He's a pretty special horse.”

In addition to the Duck Dance Stakes, Caixa Eletronica has won the G2 Charles Town Classic, the G2 True North Stakes, and the G3 Fall Highweight, where he toted 133 pounds.

Can we retire him now or will they wait until he meets Saginaw’s fate?

  • bcelliot

I hope he will get a very happy retirement home,,his just reward

isn’t he still a full horse? maybe he’ll stand stud somewhere…..i remember his dad winning 9 in a row at the Big A as an 8 year old for Scott Lake. I think he won 31 or 32 races in his career

Well the owner certainly owns enough fillies that if he wanted to he could try to make this hard knocker as a stallion. All we want is him to be retired before injury, don’t push the envelope.
        Don’t want a Saginaw incident.
