Six-time Group 1 winner Minding could face colts for the first time in the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes Sept. 10.
According to a report by Course-Specialist, the 3-year-old daughter of Galileo has an entry in both the Irish Champion and the Group 1 Coolmore Matron Stakes on the same card.
Trainer Aidan O'Brien indicated that there's a very good chance that Minding would go in the Irish Champion, where she could face Harzand, winner of the G1 Investec Derby and G1 Irish Derby earlier this year. Prix du Jockey-Club winner, Almanzor, is also likely to be in the line up.
“She'll run in either the Matron or the Champion Stakes,” O'Brien told At the Races. “The lads will make their decision closer to the time, but it's very possible she'll go to the Champion Stakes.”
