Multiple Grade 1 winner McKinzie recorded a six-furlong breeze toward the Santa Anita Handicap on Tuesday at Santa Anita, covering the distance in 1:13.40 under Joe Talamo. Trainer Bob Baffert was very pleased with the 4-year-old son of Street Sense's workout, according to drf.com.

“Terrific,” Baffert said. “He couldn't be doing any better right now. We're pointing for the Big Cap.”

Postponed until April 6, the Santa Anita Handicap will be run on the same day as the Santa Anita Derby.
