Lady Pauline dominates her career debut at Keeneland

Lady Pauline, the Munnings half-sister to champion Lady Aurelia, will not be able to start in next week's Royal Ascot meeting. According to bloodhorse.com, the juvenile filly suffered an injury during a workout overseas.

“In her last work at Manton she came up with a real minor injury, which is unfortunately going to take us out of the race,” said trainer Wesley Ward. “She's on her way home now, but 100% she will be back shortly. The rest of the team are great.”

A winner of her first start at Keeneland by 9 3/4 lengths, Lady Pauline was defeated in her first Ascot outing on May 1. Ward had been positive about the filly's progress since that start, but the injury leaves the trainer relying on undefeated pair Anna's Fast and Kimari in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes.
