Wise Dan started training on grass for the first time this summer, and he seems to be loving the lawn. Brisnet says Wise Dan worked Monday over the Keeneland turf course as he prepares to go in Saturday's Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile – a “Win and You're In” race for the Breeders' Cup Mile:
“Holy smokes. He's a different horse on grass,” trainer Charlie Lopresti said as Wise Dan finished his work with jockey Jon Court up.
“He went off easy and I had him coming home the last quarter in :22 and change.”
