The connections of Orfevre, recently named Japan's Horse of the Year, said Wednesday he will not be racing in the Dubai World Cup Carnival this year but instead will stay home in Japan and work towards a campaign capped off by the Arc de Triomphe in France.

“I want to make his condition to be the peak at the Arc de Triomphe,” trainer Yasutoshi tells the Racing Post.  “I will consider if the prep race will be a domestic one or in Europe including France. We will go to France in the near future to make an inspection.”
