Anodin, a 3-year-old full brother to champion Goldikova, took the lead at the start and never looked back as he cruised to a one-length victory in the Prix Paul de Moussac (Fr-III) at Chantilly June 8.
The son of Anabaa has now won two of five lifetime starts for trainer Freddie Head and his owners the Wertheimer Brothers. After placing in two starts as a juvenile, Anodin broke his maiden going a mile in his first start in 2013. Immediately moved into Group 1 company, the colt finished seventh in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains (Fr-I) May 12.
Anodin is from the final crop of Anabaa, who died at Alec Head's Haras du Quesnay in 2009. The colt is the 12th winner from 13 foals to race out of the blue hen mare, Born Gold.
