After missing six days of training due to illness earlier this month, trainer Bill Mott had to scratch Drosselmeyer from the Mineshaft at Fair Grounds. This delay cost the Belmont winner a chance to travel to Dubai.
“He worked this morning and I'm very happy with it, but we're not going to the World Cup,” Mott said. “He just got pushed too far back in his training to make that race.”
