Winner of the Grade 1 Cotillion Stakes at Parx on Sept. 23, the now 4-year-old filly It Tiz Well has not had a start since that effort. The daughter of Arch was aiming for a start in the Breeders' Cup Distaff, but a foot issue kept her out of the World Championships.
According to drf.com, It Tiz Well has now been diagnosed with a chip in her ankle joint. Owner Tom Stull has not decided what her future might hold, though he admitted to entering discussions about breeding the filly to Tapit this year.
“She has a few issues,” Stull said. “We'll see if she races again. She might have to be a broodmare. We'll get a couple more evaluations.”
