Dual Group 1 winner Taghrooda has been retired from racing, according to a report in the Racing Post.
The talented daughter of Sea The Stars, who was most recently third to Treve in the Group 1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, captured both the Group 1 Investec Oaks and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes earlier this year. Taghrooda compiled a record of four wins from six starts, and never finished out of the money.
Angus Gold, racing manager for owner Sheikh Hamdan, told the Post, “Taghrooda has been retired. She has been wonderful, and will be missed. In my time not since Salsabil have we had a filly this good, which shows how rare they are.”
