While jockey Mike Smith's primary reason for traveling to Britain this week was to ride for trainer Wesley Ward at Folkestone on Thursday, he had also been booked for five mounts at Lingfield on Tuesday.
But the UK Border Agency doesn't seem to like that plan. The agent booking Smith's rides in Britain said the Border Agency doesn't think Smith's riding at Lingfield has any relation to what he is doing at Folkestone. So, Smith is dropping the mounts because the Border Agency said if he rides at Lingfield, it could affect future trips to the U.K.
