Last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner Sharing recorded her first timed breeze of 2020 on Monday. The 3-year-old filly worked four furlongs over the Palm Meadows turf course in 48.70 seconds, and co-owner Eclipse Thoroughbreds' Aron Wellman told bloodhorse.com that Sharing could make her seasonal debut in the G3 Florida Oaks on March 7 at Tampa Bay Downs.
“We spent a month after the Breeders' Cup freshening her up at Fair Hill (trainer Graham Motion's Maryland base) and then around the first of December she headed down to Florida to get some sun on her back,” Wellman told bloodhorse.com. “Graham has really been finessing her along the last couple months, regaining her foundation and building her back up toward today's work. We got set back a little bit because of weather but not too bad, and if all goes well (we will aim for) the Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay.”
The Sagamore Farm-bred Sharing, a Speightstown daughter of 2010 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Shared Account (also trained by Motion), was a $350,000 yearling purchase at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select sale. The filly has won three of her four career starts for earnings of $730,300, racing for owners Eclipse Thoroughbreds and Gainesway Stable.
