Calumet Farm's Bravazo will not make the journey to the UAE later this month for the Dubai World Cup, reports bloodhorse.com, because he will instead undergo knee surgery at the Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington.

“He galloped beautifully yesterday,” said trainer D. Wayne Lukas from Oaklawn Park. “We thought he was tender coming off the wash rack, and we just got to the bottom of it. He's already gone (to Kentucky) … he had some gravel and garbage that they wanted to clean up.”

The 4-year-old son of Awesome Again most recently finished fourth in the Pegasus World Cup, and owns a 3-4-3 record from 17 starts for earnings of $2,003,528.
