Our Khrysty won a long stretch duel with co-favorite Funny Moon to take the Grade 3, $100,000 Turnback the Alarm Handicap at Belmont Saturday.

Under Ramon Dominguez, Our Khrysty was last in the field of eight for much of the race but came on late to nip Funny Moon in a photo finish.  The winning time in the 1:43.21.

Our Khrysty is owned by Renpher Stable and was bred in Kentucky by Brad Anderson.  Trained by Todd Beattie, she is a four-year-old daughter of Newfoundland out of the Lord Carson mare, The Hess Express.

Longshots Miss Match and Manitoba Miss set the pace down the backstretch through fractions of 23.37 and 46.84.  Funny Moon sat mid-pack, but rounding the far turn, she surged to the front.  Our Khrysty looped around the field and took second at the top of the stretch.  Funny Moon held the edge until just before the wire when Our Khrysty stuck a nose in front and got the win.  Way With Words finished third.

The victory is Our Khyrsty's first in a graded stakes race.  In her last race, she won a $70,000 stake at Belmont September 26th by four and a half lengths.  Four-year-old Funny Moon is still seeking her third graded stakes win after four consecutive losses in graded company.
