The result of Tuesday's Group 2 Coventry Stakes on the first day of Royal Ascot was hardly a surprise, with Coolmore trainer Aidan O'Brien collecting his ninth win in the juvenile race and his 66th Royal Ascot victory with favorite Arizona.
It took a while for the colt to get into his best stride in the six-furlong straight sprint but he finally did late under Ryan Moore, who won his 54th Royal Ascot race.
“He's really not switched on yet,” Moore said about the 2-year-old son of No Nay Never, who's now 2-for-3 in his career. Threat, at 4-1 the second choice in the Coventry behind Arizona (15-8), finished second. Guildsman was third.
