The New York Racing Association issued the following statement Saturday morning:
Due to Saturday's weather conditions, including high winds and severe cold, and out of a continued abundance of caution for the safety of our jockeys and our equine athletes, the New York Racing Association has cancelled live racing at Aqueduct Racetrack for Saturday, January 10. Aqueduct and the Belmont Cafe at Belmont Park will remain open today for simulcasting.
Live racing is scheduled to resume at Aqueduct Racetrack on Sunday, January 11.
This was the fourth straight cancellation at Aqueduct, with full cards cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday and racing halted after two races on Friday.
