Bim Bam set a new course record at 9 years young at Lone Star Park

A new course record was set in the first race of the Father's Day card at Lone Star Park. Nine-year-old horse Bim Bam beat a long standing record for a mile and three eighths on the grass. Final time was 2:13.46 beating the record of 2:13.53 set back in 1998.

Bim Bam is owned and trained by Hall of Fame and local all-time leading trainer, Steve Asmussen. Jockey Iram Diego was aboard for the horse's 11 career victory from 59 starts. Bim Bam has amassed earnings of $817,692 in his lengthy race career.

Bred in Florida by J D Farms, Bim Bam is by Deputy Wild Cat and out of a daughter of Colony Light. He owns multiple graded stakes places over the course of his career.
