In the wake of a national state of emergency after terrorist attacks in Paris Friday night, weekend cards at a pair of French racetracks were cancelled and will be partly rescheduled for next week, according to the Racing Post.

The cards affected were a Saturday meeting at Saint-Cloud and a Sunday card at Auteuil. A pair of Saturday stakes races, the Prix Denisy and Prix Belle de Nuit, have been rescheduled for Friday. Six lesser races will be run at Compiegne Wednesday.

The three main races from Auteuil, including a G1 event, have been rescheduled for next Sunday.

The decision to move the races had to do with “the administrative measure in place and solidarity with the French Government and the victims of these odious attacks,” said a source from France Galop.
