United Tote, a leading worldwide supplier of pari-mutuel settlement services and totalisator systems, equipment and technology, announced today that it has begun doing business at ThistleDown Racino under the provisions of a new long-term contract entered into with ThistleDown Racino's parent, Rock Ohio Caesars, LLC.
Thistledown Director of Racing, David Ellsworth stated, “As a long-time customer of United Tote's settlement services, we are happy to be strengthening our relationship and, as a result, create an enhanced pari-mutuel wagering experience for our guests with respect to handicapping contests and helpful additional content on the self-serve betting interface. This new partnership dovetails nicely with the multi-million dollar facelift currently in progress here at the track.”
Nate Simon, President of United Tote said, “We are very happy to add ThistleDown to the ranks of United Tote customers. ThistleDown and United Tote share a common commitment to the future of racing and we are excited about being part of the track's extensive upgrades.”
The deal also includes a long-term renewal for providing pari-mutuel wagering technology services to ThistleDown's sister racetrack, Turfway Park. United Tote has provided totalisator services to the Florence, Kentucky thoroughbred racetrack since 1993.
“United Tote and Turfway have proven to be a great team for decades now. United Tote clearly has their finger on the pulse of the industry and specifically with what we're all about here at Turfway Park.” said Chip Bach, Turfway Park's General Manager.
“We are more than pleased to continue our partnership with historic Turfway Park,” said Simon. “In addition to being the tote provider to Turfway Park, we're also fans.”
