TVG, America's national horse racing network and an affiliate of FanDuel Group, will carry the 21-day fall meet from the historic home of the Kentucky Derby on its primary broadcast channel, TVG, which is available in over 40 million homes, with live coverage beginning Sunday, October 28th.
TVG also announced it will carry the first two Breeders' Cup races from Churchill Downs on Championship Saturday, November 3, as well as the undercard stakes and other races from Churchill Downs on both days of the Breeders' Cup.
“Churchill Downs' fall meet consistently offers some of the very best racing in the US and we are very excited to showcase this meet for racing fans across the country,” said Kip Levin, CEO of TVG. “The return of the Breeders' Cup to Churchill Downs this year adds a layer of anticipation to this meet and we look forward to bringing our viewers the first two Breeders' Cup races on Championship Saturday and the supporting stakes and races on both days of the event.”
Breeders' Cup Championship card Saturday begins at 10:45 ET on TVG with two undercard races followed by the $1 million Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (12:00 p.m.) and the $1 million Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (12:38 p.m.) before coverage of the event shifts to NBCSN and NBC.
There will be a total of 10 races (five Breeders' Cup races) on the first day of the Championships – now called “Future Stars Friday” – and 12 races on the Saturday program (nine Breeders' Cup races). The Friday program begins at 12:55 p.m. ET with four undercard races all live on TVG.
TVG coverage of Churchill Downs' popular fall meet kicks off Sunday at 1 PM with the 14th annual Stars Of Tomorrow program The network will have correspondents Caton Bredar and Gabby Gaudet reporting live from Churchill Downs during the meet's four-week stretch through Sunday, November 25.
