As part of its summer celebration of its 20th anniversary, TVG, America's horse racing network and industry-leading advanced-deposit wagering platform, will be counting down the network's Top 20 moments from the past 20 years this Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20.
The company will also unveil a new upscale race and simulcast viewing area at Monmouth Park this weekend, the TVG Lounge, as part of its title sponsorship of the Grade 1, $1 million TVG.com Haskell Invitational, the perennial highlight of Monmouth Park's live racing season, which will be run on Saturday, July 20.
The TVG Lounge, featuring HD flat screens, seating and charging stations will be open to race-day patrons on Haskell Day and for the remainder of the Monmouth Park summer meet. The TVG Lounge is located inside the lower level of the Monmouth Park Clubhouse.
TVG will be broadcasting all of the races from Monmouth Park on Saturday as part of its coast-to-coast coverage with Scott Hazelton, Caton Bredar, Tom Cassidy, Matt Carothers and Gabby Gaudet reporting live from New Jersey. The TVG.com Haskell Invitational is also part of the Breeders' Cup “Win and You're In” Challenge series.
“We are excited to be counting down the Top 20 moments in TVG's broadcast history and to unveil the TVG Lounge as part of celebrating the TVG.com Haskell Invitational and part of our company's ongoing support of the premier races in the US,” said Kip Levin, TVG's CEO and COO of FanDuel Group.
Some of the highlights from the Top 20 countdown include American Pharoah's Triple Crown sweep, popular champion mare Zenyatta and races from superstars Goldikova and Arrogate. In addition to moments on the racetrack, the countdown will also include pivotal industry events such as the closing of Hollywood Park and the fire at San Luis Rey Downs. The TVG-produced documentary, “Rising from the Ashes” chronicling the fire and the industry recovery received a special Eclipse Award.
The Top 20 Moments will be unveiled during the TVG's regular programming from noon ET through 9 PM ET on Saturday.
Since launching on July 14, 1999, TVG's television network has emerged as daily go-to viewing for racing fans and US horse racing industry stakeholders and its ADW platform has grown into the market leader, processing over $1 billion in annual wagering.
As part of an ongoing celebration, TVG will be unveiling special programming, promotions and talent appearances such as this past Sunday's special guest appearances by original TVG hosts Ken Rudulph and Jeff Lifson, culminating with live coverage of the $1 million TVG Pacific Classic on Saturday, August 17.
TVG also launched a new marketing campaign highlighting the network and its hosts and analysts deep connection to horse racing, “Born Into The Sport.” The campaign features TVG hosts Britney Eurton, Christina Blacker, Scott Hazleton, Gabby Gaudet, Simon Bray and Matt Carothers.
On Wednesday, FanDuel Group, the parent company of TVG, announced a comprehensive multi-year sponsorship agreement with the Breeders' Cup, one of Thoroughbred racing's most prestigious international events to make TVG and FanDuel the official wagering partners of the Breeders' Cup World Championships.
