TVG, America's horse racing network, will broadcast a special “All Access: TVG Pacific Classic” program on Saturday, December 21st at 11:30 a.m. ET which will give fans an exclusive, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the production and execution of the TVG Pacific Classic broadcast which aired on August 17. Additionally, TVG will re-air a condensed version of the TVG Pacific Classic broadcast beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET.
The $1 million TVG Pacific Classic was a centerpiece of the network's summer-long 20th anniversary celebration and the coverage utilized over two dozen cameras, virtual graphics, a pair of set locations and featured popular TVG talent from the past 20 years as part of the “Born into the Sport” campaign. The coverage also included in-depth features on trainer Dallas Stewart, jockey Mario Guitierez and longtime track announcer Trevor Denman.
“As the year draws to a close, we are looking back at some of the highlights of our 20th anniversary celebration,” said Kevin Grigsby, TVG's executive producer and Senior VP Television. “This telecast was a labor of love and we are excited to get to show racing fans all of the hard work and dedication that went on behind the scenes.”
The $1 million TVG Pacific Classic was part of TVG's summer-long celebration of its 20th anniversary which has included special programming, promotions and guest appearances. Since launching on July 14, 1999, TVG's television network has emerged as daily go-to viewing for racing fans and US horse racing industry stakeholders and its ADW platform has grown into the market leader, processing over $1 billion in annual wagering.
