NYRA officials yesterday previewed the upcoming 40-day meet at Saratoga, a season they acknowledge almost didn't happen. Despite that backdrop, there is still much excitement about this summer's meet. Boasting the strongest graded stakes card coupled with some of the top trainers and horses in the country, NYRA hopes this year's installment at The Spa will help deter from the negative headlines of late.

One big question does remain: will they be able to lure Zenyatta to run on the East Coast? When asked, NYRA president Charlie Hayward simply stated, ” Certainly, I've talked to the folks. We try to get all the big horses at Saratoga.”

Are you excited about this year's Saratoga meet? Do you believe NYRA can successfully lure Zenyatta to run at The Spa? Do you think extending this year's meet by four days will be an improvement over years past? And what impact, if any, will Monmouth Park's ongoing 50-day/$50 million in purses meet have on Saratoga?
