Rosie the Rider

Things are moving fast these days for jockey Rosie Napravnik according to Alicia Wincze of the Lexington Herald-Leader. Recently becoming the first female jockey to win the riding title at the Fair Grounds, Rosie has had little time to soak in real perspective on the recent trajectory of her career.

“I definitely feel like I've been putting in my dues, but I also feel like it was just yesterday when I started,” Napravnik said at Keeneland Thursday. “Even from last year it's kind of like 'How did I get here from there?”

She'll have an opportunity this weekend to win her first Grade I race aboard Wilcox Inn in the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes and next month will guide Derby hopeful Pants On Fire after an upset victory in the Louisiana Derby. It appears, everything is coming up Rosie.
