In the past, when the rich and famous have attended the Kentucky Derby, the area of Churchill Downs that they've viewed the race from most likely has been Millionaires Row.
While Millionaires Row is still just as swanky, there's a new area in the Churchill Downs' clubhouse that even more exclusive and posh – The Mansion.
The Mansion was opened in 2014, and is located in what used to be the media area/press box. The Mansion is so exclusive that a person can't just buy a ticket into it – you have to be invited to purchase one.
For the 2016 edition of the Oaks and Derby, writer Sarah Bray was invited into The Mansion, and she described her experience – from champagne in the elevator to photos taken with the Kentucky Derby trophy – in a feature for Town & Country magazine.
