Remington Park Groom Hit With Five Counts Of Animal Cruelty After Horses Found With Lacerations

A groom at Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Okla.,has been charged with animal cruelty after police say he was involved in attacking five horses in their stalls.

Dakota Wilburn, 25, was charged in connection with the attacks, which resulted in lacerations to all five horses. Police say they have video evidence as part of the case.

According to Remington Park spokesperson Kym Koch, track security responded to reports of the incident and immediately sought veterinary treatment for the horses. All five are reportedly resting comfortably and their injuries are not expected to be life-threatening. The trainer and the horses were not identified in a report about the incident by local television news station KFOR.
