A power outage at Parx Racing Monday morning left the racing office with telephone and internet issues, according to the Daily Racing Form, forcing Sam Elliott, the director of racing, to leave the entry box open through Tuesday. Parx was returning to racing after a 3 1/2 week break.
“We can't draw the races or put out an overnight with the Internet down,” Elliott said. “We pretty much know what races we are going to use, but will keep the entry box open until Tuesday morning and then draw the races.”
Cathryn Sophia is expected to race at Parx on Saturday, prepping for the $1 million Cotillion in the $150,000 Princess of Sylmar Stakes.
