Pennsylvania continues to move closer to a possible shutdown of horse racing in the state if an agreement can't be reached between lawmakers and racetrack operators by the end of this week.
According to a report at PennLive.com, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, who indicated last week that with the State Racing Fund operating in the red, the commonwealth did not have the money operate the sport.
Gov. Wolf has said he would like to see more long-term solutions proposed, such as having the racing industry take over the cost of drug testing.
