Mullins files suit against CHRB over suspension

Trainer Jeff Mullins has filed a lawsuit in a Southern California court asking for a stay of the 70-day suspension he's scheduled to begin serving June 1.  Mullins argues he should be granted a court hearing before June to present evidence that the California Horse Racing Board's decision to impose the penalty violated his due process rights.

Mullins also alleges the CHRB met in secret to approve the suspension, a charge the board disputes.
