Left at the Gate: Racing is no NHL

Both the NHL and horse racing had exciting weekends for their respective sports but Alan Mann at Left at the Gate laments the difference in presentation. Forced to watch TVG and therefore missing live runnings of races at Santa Anita, Gulfstream, Fair Grounds and Oaklawn, it's clear our television product needs a serious makeover. Meanwhile, the NHL, powered by its own unified network, was able to showcase its sport through an All-Star weekend filled with a first-time fantasy draft, an exciting skills competition and finally the All-Star game itself.
