While not all indices were up, Tuesday's session at the Keeneland January sale was a breath of fresh compared to yesterday's first session. The average and gross were both up, the median down and the buyback held steady.

“The market's not strong, but for the right horses, it's not as bad as everybody thinks it is,” said horseman David Ingordo.

Whether the market is showing a more permanent turn for the better or Tuesday was just a blip on the radar, good news is always welcome.
