Both HRTV and the Horse Racing Radio Network plan to be on site for Saturday's Tampa Bay Derby – a key prep for the Kentucky Derby. The networks will also offer coverage of international racing this weekend.
HRTV's Carolyn Conley will be at Palermo Racecourse in Buenos Aires, Argentina Saturday for the Gran Premio Latinoamericano, a Group 1 event at 1 1/4 miles for 3-year-olds and up. There are two other Group 1 races slated that day — the Gran Premio Saturnino and the Gran Premio Santiago Luro. Post time is approximately 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
HRRN will have live coverage from Dubai of the “Super Saturday” races. The Dubai broadcast, presented by AmWest Entertainment, will air exclusively via live internet streaming on the HRRN website from 11:00 a.m. – Noon EST. HRRN's coverage will include live calls of the Group 1 Al Maktoum Challenge-Round 3 and Group 1 Jebel Hatta, as well as the Group 2 Dubai City of Gold on taped delay.
In addition, HRRN plans bonus coverage of the Group 3 Burj Nahaar and Meydan Sprint during their popular Equine Forum talk show which airs weekly on Saturday mornings from 8:00-10:00 a.m. EST. The Equine Forum can be heard on 96.1 FM in Lexington, KY and is streamed live on the HRRN site.
